Surf Device for 2011 Malibu Wakesetter VLX

This article applies to the Generation 4 2009-2014 Malibu Wakesetter VLX. When it comes to suggesting the correct surf device for your boat, there are two factors we look at:

1. Attachment: Specifically, can we use a suction cup based device on a given boat, or do we have to use a velcro based system because of the complexity of the boat's hull in the area where the surf device will be mounted. This boat poses no problems using a suction cup based device, which is generally the preference of our customers.
2. Boat Size: on boats 22' and larger we generally suggest using a bigger device, because the volume of water flowing over the hull is larger, so we need to interfere with more of that water. At 21' this boat is below that threshold, so we really can use and device that you want.
